Ingredients:
- 500 grams ground beef
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 1 egg
- 1 tablespoon breadcrumbs
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 4 slices of cheddar cheese (optional)
- 4 burger buns
- 4 lettuce leaves
- 1 large tomato, sliced
- Pickle slices
- Ketchup and mayonnaise
Instructions:
1. Prepare the Patties: In a large bowl, mix the ground beef with the chopped onion, egg, breadcrumbs, salt, and pepper. Divide the mixture into 4 balls, then flatten them into patties.
2. Cook the Patties: Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for 4-5 minutes on each side until fully cooked. If you want to add cheese, place a slice of cheese on each patty in the last minute of cooking and let it melt.
3. Toast the Buns: Open the burger buns and spread a little butter on them, then toast them in a skillet or in the oven until golden and crispy.
4. Assemble the Burgers: Place a lettuce leaf on the bottom half of each bun, then add a beef patty. Top with a tomato slice, some pickle slices, and finish with the top half of the bun. Serve the burgers with ketchup and mayonnaise as desired.
Tips:
- You can add other ingredients as desired, such as grilled onions, bacon, avocado, or barbecue sauce.
- For a complete meal, serve the burgers with fries or a side salad.
